Bengaluru (Karnataka) – On 28th July, Basavaraj Bommai was sworn as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka. He is the 23rd CM of Karnataka. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot conducted the oath of office and secrecy for CM Basavaraj Bommai at the Glass House in Raj Bhavan. The oath ceremony was attended by former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa who handed over his resignation. Ahead of his oath ceremony, Bommai went for darshan of Deity Hanuman at the Maruti temple. Bommai got elected from the Shiggaon Constituency in Haveri District and has been a part of Janata Dal for some time. Basavaraj Bommai was the Home Minister in the BS Yediyurappa Government.
