This land on the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple campus was obstructing the expansion of the temple and the campus. Many times this issue came for discussion between Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and the Gyanvapi Masjid party. In the discussion held recently, they agreed upon the handing over of the lands to each other. Hence, the lands were exchanged between the parties accordingly. Presently ‘Swayambhu Vishweshwar Mahadev is a Hindu party on behalf of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, whereas the Anjuman Intezamia Committee and Sunni Central Waqf Board on behalf of Gyanvapi Masjid are fighting the case.
