Muzaffarnagar (UP) – A 77-year-old Islamic cleric, Vakeel Ahmed, from Shikarpur village was considering his third marriage. The enraged wife, Hazra, attacked him with knife when he was asleep and chopped off his genitals. The cleric succumbed to the injuries. The Police have arrested Hazra for killing her husband.

- When the cleric died at home, Hazra tried to bury him with the help of her relatives. When the neighbours grew suspicious of her activities, they informed the Police. ThePolice investigated the incident and interrogated Hazra, she confessed her crime and provided all the details.
- Hazra has five daughters and four of them are married. When the second wife abandoned the cleric, he informed Hazra that he was considering another marriage. Hazra asked him to get the remaining daughter married before considering his own marriage. This resulted in a heated argument and on the same night Hazra attacked the cleric.
