Are the police hand in glove with the Christian CM of AP in accusing Hindus for temple vandalism ?

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) – Around 20 BJP and TDP workers in Andhra Pradesh are involved in attacks on Hindu temples, 15 have been arrested and others are on the run. They have been destroying idols and desecrating holy sites and spreading rumours to create enmity between religious groups, claimed DGP G. Sawang. This prompted both the parties to slam him and accuse him of acting like the spokesperson of the ruling YSRC.

BJP state general secretary S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that police is misleading people and called the DGP’s claims a ‘new political drama’ to cover up police inefficiency. ‘On January 13, Sawang, in a press conference, said that most of the offences of temple desecration were committed by treasure hunters, superstitious people, alcoholics and others. Sawang had not mentioned any political agenda’ he said. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, hit out at the opposition saying that the temple attacks were a conspiracy to disrupt the Government’s progress.
