NCERT 12 Standard History text book claims Mughals rebuilt destroyed Hindu temples!

NCERT accepts that it does not have any evidence for these claims in response to PIL

Hindus did not expect NCERT’s Hindu-hatred to continue even under BJP rule!
NCERT has betrayed Hindus by publishing patently false history that glorifies the Mughals. The BJP Government ought to conduct an inquiry on those responsible for this incident and have them imprisoned for life!
It is only due to the fact that information was sought under RTI, that this incident came to light. If not, this incorrect depiction of history would never be known. How is it that no one noticed the wrong points included in the texts? Or did they knowingly ignore it? The public has a right to know. This incident clearly reveals how the NCERT functions. Why do we need an organisation which repeatedly distorts history?
Allegations of ‘saffronization of history’ frequently fly, but it is incidents like this that make Hindus believe that the ‘history is being islamized’!

New Delhi – NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) 12th Standard History textbook ‘Themes of Indian History Part -2’ (page 234), mentions that Mughal Emperors Shahajahan and Aurangzeb provided financial grants to rebuild the Hindus temples which were destroyed by Mughal soldiers during wars. The NCERT comes under the purview of the Central Government. An RTI was filed seeking evidence and information regarding such temples. In response, the NCERT has replied saying that they do not posses any document regarding the same. Dr. Indu Vishwanathan, Department of Education provided this information through a tweet.

The NCERT’s response was sent to the petitioner Shivank Sharma on 18th November 2020. This letter has been signed by the Head of the Department and Public Information Officer Prof. Gauri Srivastav.
