Security forces in Kashmir foil terror plot to attack temple with grenades

Srinagar (J&K) – Security forces have arrested eight terrorists from various places in J&K. It includes 4 terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed, 2 of J&K Ghaznavi Force and a special police officer assisting these terrorists. With these arrests, the police foiled a terror plot to attack a temple with grenades.
- Police said security forces sieged Hayatpora in Budgam district and apprehended four Jaish terrorists who were trying to escape in a vehicle. They were accompanied by a special police officer named Altaf Hussain. He, along with another police office Jahangir had had deserted duties and left with 2 AK-47 rifles. Jahangir has already been arrested.
- In another instance, in Mendhar of Poonch district, two militant brothers of J&K Ghaznavi Force were arrested. Six hand grenades and explosives were recovered from them. Based on information they gave, two more militants were arrested near Balakote sector.
