Netflix’s web series ‘A Suitable Boy’ promotes ‘Love Jihad’

  • Depicts a scene in which a Muslim boy is shown kissing a Hindu girl in temple premises. A complaint has been lodged with the Police
  • The Centre is required to either ban such content or censor these scenes, since humiliating Hindus through such web series has become a daily affair.
  • Does anyone dare to show such scenes in the premises of other religions’ places of worship ?

Gaurav Tiwari said in a tweet, ‘There are three kissing scenes in temple premises in the series. The Hindu girl is shown to be in love with Muslim boy; why all the kissing scenes are filmed in temple premises only ? The scene is filmed while Aarti is being performed. I have filed a Police complaint in Rewa (M.P.) in this regard. Netflix’s Monika Shergill and the series’ Director are named as accused in the complaint. Does Netflix have the freedom of art to film such scene in Mosque while Azaan is being performed ? Do not misinterpret the tolerance of Hindus as their weakness. This is an insult of not only MP, but also Deity Shiv and his numerous devotees. People responsible should tender an apology’.
