Budgam (J&K) – Bhupinder Singh, who was Block Development Council Chairman of Khag block in Budgam District, was attacked by terrorists when he went to his ancestral village Dalwash at 7.54 p.m. on 23rd September, the Police said.

Bhupinder Singh, who was given two PSOs for personal security, had dropped the security personnel at Khag Police station and heading towards his house in Srinagar. Terrorists forcibly entered his house, opened fire indiscriminately and killed him.
Last month, BJP sarpanch Sajad Ahmad Khanday was fired upon by terrorists from a close range outside his residence in Vessu in south Kashmir’s Kulgam District. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but succumbed to his bullet injuries. Khanday was attacked less than 48 hours after another BJP-affiliated Panchayat member – Arif Ahmad – was shot at in the same area.
Earlier in July, BJP leader Wasim Ahmad Bari, his father and brother were shot dead by terrorists in the Bandipora area in Jammu & Kashmir.
