18 soldiers committed suicide in 8 months in Kashmir

  • Keeping in view the activities of China and Pakistan, this situation is of great concern. The Government needs to take steps to change the situation.

  • Spiritual practice increases will-power and eliminates thoughts of suicide. The Government should think of this option too.

Srinagar (J&K) – Sources in Army and Para-military forces have given information that in the past 8 months, 18 soldiers have committed suicide. In 2019, 19 soldiers had committed suicide. This year, the reason cited for suicide is coronavirus.

PRO of Srinagar’s CRPF said, “Coun-selling sessions are being conducted to make the army personnel tension-free. In addition, special techniques have been included in their morning exercises to increase their mental strength. This helps them manage their mental pressure”.

“Many soldiers come to me every month for solutions to their mental problems. They express the difficult situations they are working in”, said a psychiatrist.
