If no timely action had been taken against Tablighi Jamaat, there would have been anarchy in UP : CM Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow (UP) – Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has strongly attacked Tablighi Jamaat over Coronavirus. In a TV interview to a private news channel, Yogi Adityanath said, “If no timely action had been taken against Tablighi Jamaat, there would have been anarchy in UP. The Jamaatis hid the disease. These are intentional acts, which are unforgivable crimes. If they had not hidden the disease, Covid-19 cases would have been minimal today”. Yogi Adityanath also said that he would definitely take action against these people.

Deliberate acts are an unforgivable crime

Yogi Adityanath further said, “The administration should have been informed. By not doing so, they hid, made false statements and spread superstition among the people as soon as they saw a large population was affected. The kind of acts they deliberately committed is an unforgivable crime. More than 3,000 classes in UP resulted from Tablighi’s travel from place to place. Our Policemen caught and quarantined them. When they were sent to hospitals, they spread corona there also”.

While giving hints of strict action, Yogi Adityanath said, “The culprits should not be associated with caste, creed and religion. If a crime is committed, action should be taken under the provisions of the law. Those who are defending these type of people are messing with the sentiments of the country. No one can be allowed to spread chaos. People will never forgive them”.
