Mumbai – “Swatantrayveer Savarkar tried to get Indian political prisoners released when he was undergoing life imprisonment. However, Congress has spread falsehoods about him and defamed him. Now, Congress Seva Dal has distributed booklets on Veer Savarkar during its workshop in Bhopal, which contains false information about Veer Savarkar. People are, therefore, very angry with Congress”, said Dr. Uday Dhuri (Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti [HJS]) during a demonstration at Dadar (West) railway station.
Patriotic citizens joined the demonstrations with placards with words – ‘Aamhi Saare Savarkar (We all are Savarkar)’. They also raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and demanded strict action against those who insult our great revolutionaries and national leaders. Representatives of various Hindu organisations such as VHP, Bajrang Dal, Savarkar Smarak Pratishthan, Shriram Ganesh Mitra Mandal, New Parashuram Kreeda Mandal (Kala Chowki), Raigad Sanvardhan Pratishthan and HJS, besides seekers of Sanatan Sanstha and Savarkar-admirers participated in the demonstration.
Similar agitations were also organised at various places in Maharashtra – Wani (Yeotmal), Dhule, Chopda (District Jalgaon), Yaval (District Jalgaon).
