Repeatedly sexually abused a 16-year-old girl

Kalburgi (Karnataka) – A special POCSO court here sentenced a 20-year-old young man to life imprisonment for repeatedly sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl after luring her with a false promise of marriage. He was also fined ₹55,000. The court directed that the victim be paid compensation of ₹5 lakh within a month. The rapist has been identified as Razzaq Sab Shaikh, a resident of Hamal Sangh in the APMC Yard area under the jurisdiction of the Kalburgi Suburban Police Station.
Razzaq lured the 16-year-old girl with the promise of marriage and eloped with her. He took her to a factory in the Ramanagar area of Kalburgi city, where he repeatedly sexually abused her.
