19-year-old student arrested for selling fake NEET question papers on Telegram !

Some students purchased the question paper

(NEET stands for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.)

Bhilwara (Rajasthan) – Police have arrested Akash Chaudhary, a 19-year-old student, for selling fake NEET question papers three days before the NEET re-examination. Akash had been extorting money from candidates by luring them with promises of providing the question paper through a Telegram channel.

1. Akash had created a Telegram channel named ‘Paper Mafia’. According to the police, he operated the channel through a US-based VPN (Virtual Private Network) and proxy networks to make it difficult to trace his identity and activities.

2. Akash charged ₹4,000 for the question paper. He used to send students a QR code for payment and had the money transferred directly to his bank account. He scanned pages from books related to NEET preparation and used them to create fake question papers, which he then passed off as genuine leaked question papers and supplied to candidates.

Editorial Perspective

On the one hand, the government and the administration are making every possible effort to organise the NEET re-examination. In such a situation, if students are going to purchase such fake question papers, appropriate legal action should also be taken against them !
