IAF officer’s wife raped; two religious fanatics sent to 5-day Police custody

Nagpur – In an outrageous incident that recently unfolded, a 24-year-old woman, the wife of an Indian Air Force officer, was drugged and raped. The accused also extorted lakhs of rupees from her by threatening to release obscene videos and attempted to force her to convert. Police have arrested the main accused, Ayyaz Taj Madare and Amin Sheikh. A court has remanded them to five days of Police custody. The third accused, Hazrat Maulana, is absconding. Police have registered multiple charges in the case.

1. The main accused, Ayyaz Taj Madare (26), was reportedly the victim’s former classmate. He invited her to a hotel under the pretext of some work. There, he administered a sedative through a soft drink and raped her. He also recorded obscene videos and took photographs of her.

2. By threatening to release the explicit videos, the accused subjected the victim to repeated sexual exploitation and extorted ₹3.09 lakh from her.

3. The victim was being subjected to continuous pressure to convert to Islam. Even though she repeatedly pleaded to be released, the accused, Ayyaz, continued to hold her hands tightly. He was reciting religious verses and repeatedly blowing over her body while doing so.

4. After attempting to convert her, the accused once again tried to rape her.

5. Three days later, when the victim’s husband returned home, she narrated the entire incident to him. Thereafter, they lodged a complaint with the Police.
