Person arrested for luring people to convert in Pilibhit, UP

Offered Government jobs and marriage to a beautiful girl if converted to Christianity

Pilibhit (UP) – A converted missionary named Anokhelal, who was pressuring villagers to convert to Christianity by offering inducements, has been arrested in Pilibhit. He was tempting villagers with promises of Government jobs and marriage to attractive girls if they accepted the Christian faith. Villagers caught him and handed him over to the Police. Police are investigating where he was receiving funding for this conversion activity and which organisation or department he was working for.

Claimed to have converted after Jesus freed him from an evil spirit

Anokhelal said that he has been spreading Christianity for the past 20 years and considers it “A good deed.” He claimed that an evil spirit had possessed him and was encouraging him to commit suicide. He met a person in Delhi who advised him to read the Bible. After this, he claimed that Jesus Christ freed him from the evil spirit. (Because Hindus are not receiving proper education on Dharma, they are falling prey to such claims by followers of other religions and harming themselves and the nation! To stop this, Hindu organisations should impart education on Dharma to Hindus! – Editor) After that, he converted to Christianity. Since then, he has been traveling from village to village spreading the Christian faith. (This shows that converts often become more fanatical! – Editor)

Editorial Perspective

For how many more years will Hindus continue to witness such incidents of religious conversion? Why are the Union and state governments not bringing in strict measures against this? During Congress rule, several northeastern states became Christian majority within just a few years. Then why, even under governments that claim to be devout Hindu, is Hindu community unable to remain protected from religious conversions? Such questions arise in the minds of Hindus!
