Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Supporting the Karnataka government’s decision to permit hijab on school and college campuses, Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa warned that “strict legal action will be taken against those entering campuses wearing saffron scarves.”

Speaking to the media in Bengaluru, Bangarappa said, “Our politics is based on equality. Everyone is aware of the BJP’s political stand on the hijab issue; however, our priority is to ensure equality in educational institutions.” (Is permitting the practices of one religion while prohibiting those of another supposed to be the definition of equality for Congress? – Editor) He further stated, “This commitment was clearly mentioned in our election manifesto. The people of the state placed their trust in us and gave us a majority.” (The public is now regretting that decision! – Editor) “We are fulfilling the promises made to the people and honouring the trust placed in us by voters. The BJP should first understand the rules followed in Kendriya Vidyalayas run by the Union Government. If they have the courage, they should first send students there wearing saffron scarves. In government schools in our state, saffron scarves are not permitted. Anyone violating the rules by wearing saffron scarves will face strict legal action,” he warned.

Editorial Perspective

As Congress rule is akin to Pakistani governance, Hindus will not see good days unless Congress is removed; the current situation in Bengal is  a proof of this. Hindus in Karnataka, too, now need to wake up.
