‘Shri Rajamatangi Mahayajna’ to be held in Mumbai on 17 May for the protection of India

Mumbai – At a time when the dark clouds of a Third World War are looming over the entire world, merely political or intellectual efforts are not sufficient. The nation is in great need of a strong spiritual foundation. With the noble objective that India should receive an invincible spiritual protective shield and attain all-round progress leading once again to the establishment of ‘Ramrajya’ (the rule of righteousness), Sanatan Sanstha has organised the ‘Shri Rajamatangi Mahayajna’ in Mumbai.

The yajna ceremony will be held in an auspicious environment on 17 May from 3.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. at the Nardulla Tank Ground behind the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi. This information was given by Sanatan Sanstha spokesperson Mr Abhay Vartak during a press conference organised on 14 May at the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh. Organisation’s national spokesperson Mr Chetan Rajhans, priest and astrologer Mr Shreyas Pisolkar, and Navi Mumbai coordinator of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, Mr Kailas Patil were also present at the occasion. It was emphasised that this Mahayajna is not merely a religious ritual, but a spiritual battle for national protection. An appeal was also made to all devout Hindus to attend the ceremony along with their families.

Explaining the spiritual significance of the yajna, Mr Abhay Vartak said:

1. Among the Dashamahavidyas manifested from the anger of Adishakti Goddess Sati, Goddess Shri Rajamatangi holds a unique position. Goddess Shri Rajamatangi is regarded as the ‘Prime Minister’, that is, the chief adviser of Adishakti. Worship of this Goddess is considered beneficial for attaining victory over enemies and gaining control over adverse situations.

2. During the Treta Yug, at the time of the incarnation of Shriram too, the divine principle of Goddess Shri Rajamatangi was active. Because of this, the ideal Ramrajya could be established. The primary objective behind this yajna is that India too should be protected today through the blessings of a similar divine power.

3. So far, Sanatan Sanstha has conducted more than 750 yajnas and spiritual rituals. Saints and Mahants from various fields, ministers from the State Government, office-bearers of the devout Hindu organisations, thinkers, advocates, entrepreneurs, and nearly 5,000 devotees are expected to attend the yajna ceremony in Mumbai.

4. The founder of Sanatan Sanstha, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Jayant Athavale, began his mission of Dharma from Mumbai. This Mahayajna, being held in the same city, will become a historic step towards nation-building.

Divine relics of the Sorati Somnath Jyotirlinga to be displayed: Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha

The biggest attraction of this Mahayajna will be the display of divine relics of the Sorati Somnath Jyotirlinga, which was destroyed 1,000 years ago by the invader Mahmud of Ghazni. These sacred remnants, which bear testimony to history, will be kept for darshan. This will be a rare opportunity for devotees.

Mr Kailas Patil informed that trustees and priests from many temples in the districts of Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palghar will participate in the yajna.

“The Yajna will commence with Shri Ganesh invocation, Punyahavachan and Mahasankalp. Offerings will be made amidst chants of the root mantras of Goddess Shri Rajamatangi. The priestly duties for the Yajna will be performed by Shivagam Vidyanidhi Agamacharya Shri Arunkumar Gurumurthy from Erode, Tamil Nadu, while Shivacharya Shri Gurumurthy will serve as the chief Acharya of the Yajna,” priest and astrologer Mr Shreyas Pisolkar said.
