Matter exposed after a vigilant Hindu filed a complaint

Mumbai – Seven Christian missionaries who cheated Hindus claiming that “Jesus will cure incurable diseases” by laying hands on their heads have been arrested. A case has been registered against them at the Malad Police Station under the ‘Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act’. The names of the Christian missionaries are Ramesh Gupta, Usha Gupta, Aman Dubey and Mukesh Yadav. (Converted Christians cunningly continue using their Hindu names even after conversion! – Editor) Three women accused remain unidentified.
1. Asha Upadhyay (45), a resident of Santacruz (East), had lodged a complaint in this matter at the Malad Police Station. She is a housewife and has been suffering from thyroid disorder and high blood pressure for the past seven years.
2. A woman named Usha Gupta, who was known to her, visited Asha’s house on 8th May along with three unidentified women and told her that “all ailments would be cured through prayers to Jesus”. She also invited her to attend a prayer meeting held every Sunday at a school in Malad (West).
3. After Asha Upadhyay informed her son about the matter, he took her to the school in Malad on 10th May. There, Ramesh Gupta was seen placing his hand on people’s heads and claiming that diseases were being cured. Upon witnessing this, Asha’s son lodged a complaint with the Police regarding cheating and the spread of superstition.
