Pakistani-made fan found installed in a madarasa in Kushinagar, UP

Fan sent from Saudi Arabia revealed to have been donated

Kushinagar (UP) – The Kushinagar Police have launched an investigation after it was found that the fan installed in a local madarasa was manufactured by a Pakistani company. A person who came to repair the fan noticed that ‘Made in Pakistan’ was written on the it. Police launched a probe after he took an image of it and circulated it on social media.

Kushinagar Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jayant Yadav said, ” Police questioned madarasa manager Yunus Ansari. When he said that the fan had been donated by a local resident, Police traced and questioned that resident as well. The resident said that his son, who is settled in Saudi Arabia, had sent it. The fan was donated to the madarasa in 2023. Police then contacted the son too. He said that he had purchased the fan in Saudi Arabia in 2020 and later sent it to India for his father. The son also produced the purchase receipt for the fan. We are verifying the receipt. It is also being investigated whether customs duty was paid while bringing the fan into India.”

Mamerajuddin Ansari, a teacher at the madarasa, said that they were unaware that “Made in Pakistan” was written on the fan. The madarasa has been operating through public donations since 1994.

Editorial Perspective

Until now, Pakistani jihadi ideology, terrorists, and weapons were being found in madarasas, and now even Pakistani products are being found there. This once again makes it clear that madarasas should be banned in the country!
