Headmistress suspended for pressuring girl students for religious conversion in a Government school in Chhattisgarh

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) – Lakshmi Devi Bhardwaj, headmistress of the PM Shri Government Girls’ Primary School in Baloda of Janjgir-Champa district, has been suspended for allegedly pressuring girl students to accept Christianity and for misappropriating funds received under Government schemes. (Such converted persons who adopt Hindu names while propagating Christianity are dangerous for Hindu Dharma ! – Editor)

1.   Villagers and parents of the students had complained that the headmistress was encouraging children in the school to recite Christian prayers and sing Christian hymns. The district education department took action after investigating the allegations against her.

2.   During the morning assembly, she allegedly made the girl students sing Christian songs such as “God is Great” and “Hallelujah” instead of the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Parents also alleged that she was creating negative views in the minds of the girls regarding Hindu Deities and traditions.

3.   Taking the seriousness of the matter into account, district education officials conducted an inquiry. During the investigation, it also came to light that apart from these allegations, the headmistress had misappropriated funds received under Government schemes. In 2021-22, she allegedly submitted fake bills and deposited Government funds into her personal account.

Editorial Perspective

Since devout Hindu BJP is in power in Chhattisgarh, merely suspending such persons is not enough; they should also be dismissed from service and given strict punishment !
