Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, film producer

Mumbai – On the backdrop of defeat of Chief minister Mamta Banerjee in Bengal election, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, producer of ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘The Bengal Files’, said, “The Kashmir Files was banned from being screened in theatres in Bengal. Then we were attacked and had to endure scuffles. Cases were registered against me. Mamta Banrjee had banned my entry in Bengal. I did not get permission for it and I could not go to the state to accept the award given by the Governor; But now, after the election results, the people of Bengal will live without fear.

I am glad that we did not give up. During the elections, we tried to take ‘The Bengal Files’ to as many people as possible. We continued our fight in our own way. Finally it was a big victory. Congratulations to the great people of Bengal. Now you can walk with your head held high.”
