Bengaluru (Karnataka) – District Collector K.A. Jagadish has submitted a report to the government on the issue of students being forced to remove their sacred threads at the Common Entrance Test (CET) examination centre in the city. This investigation reveals irregularities in Kripanidhi College. Investigation has showed that 5the sacred threads (janeu) of the students were deliberately removed during the CET examination. Against this backdrop, the report recommends that Kripanidhi College be removed from the list of examination centres henceforth. The District Collector has given a report to the government recommending that from next year, no government examinations including CET should be conducted in this college.

1. The government has already taken action in this incident. A thorough inquiry has been conducted by officials sent to the examination center and 3 employees have been suspended for dereliction of duty and hurting the sentiments of the students. The District Collector has made it clear that this strict action has been taken toensure that such incidents do not recur.

2. Interestingly, the investigation has also revealed that a similar untoward incident took place in the same college last year. “There was a similar complaint last time as well. Therefore, on the basis of the detailed inquiry report, I have submitted a report to the government that examinations should not be held at such centres,” said District Collector Jagdish.
