Will reach the Andamans between 15 and 25 May, and Kerala by 25 May !

New Delhi – The monsoon is expected to arrive in India earlier than usual this year, according to the Meteorological Department. Weather experts have stated that the monsoon will reach the Andaman Islands between 15 and 25 May and arrive in Kerala by 25 May. Favourable changes in the Indian Ocean and the weakening impact of El Niño have created conducive conditions for the monsoon. Moreover, it is predicted that the monsoon will advance faster than its average pace. As a result, heavy rainfall is likely in South India during the last week of May.
