Pakistan’s conflict with Afghanistan after failing to defeat India, alleges Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan !

New Delhi – After facing defeat in ‘Operation Sindoor’, Pakistan deliberately targeted Afghanistan, alleged the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in its magazine ‘Mujallah Taliban’. According to the TTP, Asim Munir escalated tensions with Afghanistan to improve his own image. The organisation further claimed that these attacks created a war-like situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan in February.

Pakistan considered Afghanistan an easy target !

Munir allegedly viewed Afghanistan as an easier target compared to India. After the May 2025 conflict with India and the strong global support India received, he is said to have chosen this course of action. The intent, it is claimed, was to project military success and further consolidate his control over Pakistan.

Pakistan announced the launch of open war against Afghanistan in February. As part of ‘Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq’, the Pakistani military carried out attacks at multiple locations within Afghanistan, to which Afghanistan responded. The 2,611-kilometre-long border between the two nations is known as the Durand Line; however, Afghanistan does not formally recognise this boundary.
