Allegation that those expressing anti-Warkari views have links with urban Naxalism

Mumbai – The article written by Sharad Pawar on the Warkari sect is extremely wrong. It is unfortunate that Sharad Pawar wrote such an article. Sharad Pawar has a secular outlook; he himself has admitted several times that he does not believe in religion. Therefore, he may not have proper knowledge about the Warkari sect, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
He further said:
1. Some people had entered the Warkari sect and were attempting to propagate views contrary to Warkari principles. Such individuals were expelled by the Warkari sect. Those who were rejected by the Warkari sect were found to have links with urban Naxalism. I also have documents related to this.
2. The Warkari sect has a rich tradition spanning thousands of years. Warkari thought is based on faith and brotherhood. Carrying the banner of Bhagwat Dharma, it emphasises the purification of every individual’s mind and promotes harmony with the environment.
3. I will send them a list of those who are trying to express views within the Warkari sect that go against its principles.
