Anti-social elements tear down flex board of nationally renowned kathakar Maheshanand Maharaj’s religious programme

  • Anti-social elements angered as Maheshanand Maharaj promoted the ‘Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha’ in Solapur through social media

  • 1,500 citizens march to the Police station demanding action against anti-social elements

  • Villagers shut down Wafale village for 3 days to register protest

A flex board placed in the village to promote ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha’

Solapur, Maharashtra – National kathakar Maheshanand Maharaj had circulated information about the Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Sabha held in Solapur on March 11th through ‘WhatsApp’ and other social media. Angered by this, some anti-social elements tore down the flex board of ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha’ organized in Wafale village, Tal. Mohol. The boards had pictures of Shriram and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj printed on them. In this matter, Maharaj’s wife Mrs. Sonali Chavan took the initiative and marched along with 1,500 citizens to the Police station. In protest of the incident, villagers shut down the village for 3 days. (If anti-social elements are attacking for promoting the Hindu Rashtra Jagruti Sabha, then it is very serious and the Police are expected to take strict action against. Where else can Hindus demand Hindu Rashtra if not in India ? In Pakistan ?- Editor).

Vandalised flex board promoting ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha’

1. ‘Shrimad Bhagwat Katha’ was organized in Wafale village from March 19th to 25th. To publicize the event, flex boards with pictures of Shrikrushna and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were put up at various places in the village.

2. On March 17th, some miscreants visited Maheshanand Maharaj’s house and asked whereabouts of Maharaj. They spoke rudely with his wife. (The anti-social elements visited Maharaj’s house when he was not there. This shows how arrogant and shameless they are. People of other religions help those who spread their religion. On the contrary, far from helping Hindus who spread Hindu Dharma, some anti-social elements harass such people – Editor).

3. At this time, the miscreants abused and threatened, saying, ‘We will not allow the religious programme to take place.’ Then they also tore down the flex boards of the programme which were put up in the village.

4. In this case, Maheshanand Maharaj’s wife Mrs. Sonali Chavan took the initiative and marched along with 1,500 citizens to the Police station. As Maharaj’s another programme was going on elsewhere, so as not to disturb his religious work, Mrs. Sonali Chavan conducted this march without informing Maharaj.

5. In this incident, a complaint has been filed with the Police against 3 miscreants based on the complaint of Mrs. Sonali Chavan and further investigation is underway.

6. The Superintendent of Police and officers visited the village and took action against the miscreants.

Maheshanand Maharaj determined to perform religious work with twice the vigour

Reacting about the incident, Maheshanand Maharaj said, “God has incarnated on this earth in the form of Sanatan Sanstha to protect Hindu Dharma. Every seeker of Sanatan is a form of God. In that form, God is protecting Sanatan Dharma. The opposition I faced while protecting Sanatan Dharma is an acknowledgement that this work has reached God. Now I will work to protect Dharma with twice the vigour.”
