Iran warns that ground invasion would be a big disaster for US forces

Tehran (Iran) / Washington (USA) / New Delhi – If the US tries to launch a ground invasion, the Iranian army is ready to respond with equal force. It will be a big disaster for the US forces, warned Iranian Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi in an interview with a news channel. There will be no talks with the US on a ceasefire. Iran will not negotiate to stop the war, he added.

Araghchi further said, ‘We believe that we will face the US forces and this will be a big disaster for them. We are waiting for them. This does not mean we wish to continue the war; but we want to say that we are ready to face any situation, any challenge and possibility.

Iran should not choose a supreme leader without my permission : Trump

US President Donald Trump said that the US role in choosing a new leader is essential and that doing so without US participation would be a waste of time. If Iran chooses a new supreme leader without US participation, it would be meaningless. Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, is being considered as a possible successor; but he will not be accepted. If the new leader continues the policies of the old leadership, there could be another conflict between the US and Iran in the coming years. The US wants a leader in Iran who can bring peace and stability there.

Khatibzadeh added that Tehran has no other choice but to fight bravely to defend the country against the US-Israeli aggression. We have sworn that we will continue to resist until the last bullet and the last soldier.

On relations with India, he said that he had a brief meeting with the Indian Foreign Minister. Iran and India have long-standing cultural ties, and both countries give great importance to these relations.

The global expectation that a certain world order would be maintained since the mid-20^th century was ‘unrealistic’. Today, the analysis of world politics is often centred around the USA; but in reality, the world is gradually dividing into many powers. At present, there is no country that can completely dominate all areas, be it economy, military power, technology or diplomacy.

According to Dr Jaishankar, today power is no longer just about gross national income or military strength. Different regions of the world are becoming stronger in different areas; therefore, global power is now spread across many countries and regions.

India can buy cheap oil from Russia for 30 days : USA

India has been granted a waiver to purchase crude oil from Russia. The US Treasury Department has granted a special 30-day license to Indian oil refining plants. This license will be valid until April 3^rd.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said that this temporary step has been taken under President Trump’s energy policy. India is an important partner of the US, and this exemption has been given to maintain stable oil supply in the global market. We are fully confident that after this, India will increase its purchases of US oil.

Iran has been continuously attacking Israel with these missile launchers. In addition, Israel has also claimed to have destroyed 3 of Iran’s advanced defense systems.
