Muslim Individuals Offer Namaz Within the Premises of the Malegaon Municipal Corporation

Why offer namaz inside Malegaon Municipal Corporation ? This is nothing but a form of ‘jihad’ : BJP MLA Nitesh Rane criticises

On which page of the Constitution is permission granted to offer namaz inside a municipal corporation ? They should show me the relevant provision, said Fisheries and Ports Development Minister Nitesh Rane in sharp remarks over the incident of namaz being offered inside the Malegaon Municipal Corporation. “This is nothing but a form of jihad by religious fanatics,” he added. He was speaking to journalists at the Vidhan Bhavan on 25 February.

If we start reading the Bhagavad Gita in municipal offices, Muslims should remain silent

Nitesh Rane said, “Have you been elected to the municipal corporation for development work or to propagate Islam ? Have the mosques been locked that namaz has to be offered inside municipal premises ? If this is not jihad, then what is it ? If tomorrow we begin reading the Bhagavad Gita in every municipal corporation, these ‘green snakes’ (religious fanatics) should not object. When you offer namaz, it is acceptable; but the moment Hindus do anything, a Hindu–Muslim controversy is immediately created.”

Madarasas are hubs of terrorism

He further alleged that incidents of assault on minor children had come to light in a madrasa in Sindhudurg district. “Madarasas are hubs of terrorism where anti-national activities take place. In Islamic countries, would anyone permit the teaching of the Bhagavad Gita ? Then why should we alone continue to patronise madarasas ?” he questioned.

Will teach religious fanatics a lesson

“I am the Guardian Minister of Sindhudurg district. Those (mullahs and maulvis who assault children in madarasas) will be taught such a lesson that they will think ten times before raising their hand again. People with a jihadi mindset understand only violence,” he said.
