Minor Girl molested in Shrirampur; accused threaten ‘We will abduct her’

Shrirampur (Ahmednagar) – A minor girl was molested by religious fanatics near a college premises in Shrirampur. The accused reportedly caught hold of her hand and behaved in a manner intended to outrage her modesty, while threatening her by saying, “Utha ke leke jayenge” (We will abduct you). A case has been registered against them under POCSO.

The incident occurred in the evening when the 15-year-old girl was playing on a ground near her house. The accused – Hussain Dadamiya Shaikh, Latif Dadamiya Shaikh and Sajid Latif Shaikh – passed obscene remarks at her. When she questioned them, Latif Dadamiya Shaikh allegedly grabbed her hand and acted in an indecent manner.

When the girl’s mother intervened to rescue her, the accused allegedly threatened her as well, saying, “Hum isko utha ke leke jayenge” (We will take her away too), and reportedly assaulted both mother and daughter with kicks and punches. They also abused bystanders and allegedly issued threats to kill, warning that they would not spare anyone present.
