Mumbai – For the past many years, there has been a demand to award Bharat Ratna to Swatantryaveer Savarkar. While answering why despite the current BJP Government at the Centre, Savarkar has not been awarded the Bharat Ratna, H.H. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat said, ”Savarkar has become the emperor of millions of hearts. I am not in that (relevant) committee, if I see anyone from that committee ever, I will definitely ask them.” On the second day of the 2-day programme being held at Worli Dome, many people asked him questions about this. He was speaking at that time.

‘Is the Sangh seeing good days (favourable period) since the BJP came to power ?’, H.H. Sarsanghchalak was asked on this occasion. ‘It is not that our good days came because the BJP came to power. It is the opposite. We are powerful. People listen to us. The BJP benefits from it. Our work has increased. They (BJP) have had good days because they (BJP) supported us. We have not put any pressure on the BJP. Politics does not have a place in Sangh branches,’ he replied.
