Bengaluru: Muslim youth objects to Suprabhat prayers in temple

Verbal clash between Hindu and Muslim youth

(Azaan is the call for namaz made to Muslims using a loudspeaker)

Doddaballapur (Karnataka) – A Muslim youth objected to the Suprabhat prayers offered at a temple in Shanti Nagar of Doddaballapur town in Bengaluru Rural District. This led to a verbal clash between Hindu and Muslim youths.

On the morning of February 2nd, a Suprabhat song was played at the Shani Mahatma Temple in the city. During this time, a Muslim youth came there and told the Hindu youth to lower the volume as his mother was asleep. (In that case, why should Hindu families across India tolerate the loud sound of azaan which doesn’t let their children and elderly parents sleep peacefully ? – Editor). Hindu youths asked him, ‘When azaan is given in a mosque, do we ask to lower the volume ?’. This led to a verbal clash between the two groups for some time. The video of the incident has been circulated on social media. The matter reached the  Police. They heard both sides and settled the matter. (What else will the Police in a Congress ruled State do ? Through such soft action, the Police want to tell Hindus that they do not have religious freedom ! – Editor).

Editorial Perspective

Can a Hindu even dream of objecting to ‘azaan’ in an Islamic country ?
