Maulanas approve recitation of the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta at a Madarasa in Sehore (Madhya Pradesh); Congress raises objection !

(Maulana: An Islamic scholar)

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh) – At a madrasa in Sehore district, a proposal was made to introduce the recitation of the Shrimadbhagawadgeeta alongside the Quran. This suggestion received consent at the madarasa; however, the Congress party has now objected to it.

IPS officer Raja Babu Singh

On Republic Day, Indian Police Service officer Raja Babu Singh addressed students of the Islamia Madina-tul-Uloom institution and explained the importance of Karmayoga and moral values from the Gita. He stated that such teachings help cultivate positive thinking and a sense of responsible citizenship.

Madarasa Director consents to teaching the Gita !

Responding to the police officer’s suggestion, Madarasa Director Amin Ullah stated that there is no objection to reading any scripture that contributes to social and national progress and conveys a positive message. He expressed his willingness to first study the Gita himself and then impart its teachings to students.

Local BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma supported Raja Babu Singh’s suggestion. He pointed out that Hindu students also study at madarasas and read the Quran, so why should all students not be allowed to read the Gita as well, he questioned.

There is no need to educate Madarasa Maulanas – Congress Leader Abbas Hafeez

Congress leader Abbas Hafeez objected to the proposal, stating that maulanas are already performing their duty of imparting education properly and do not require additional instruction. He further said that police officers should focus on improving law and order, as incidents of theft and crime are increasing in the area, and efforts should be made to curb them. (Criminal activities and looting in the country also involve some individuals with criminal tendencies from the Muslim community. There is a prevailing perception that jihadi terrorists emerge from madarasas. If teachings of the Gita are imparted in such institutions, it would have a positive impact and help improve law and order in the country – Editor)

Editorial perspective

India’s partition was also the result of Congress policies, and today, once again, a situation akin to a second partition has been created due to Congress. This clearly highlights how essential a Congress-free India is for the nation’s well-being !
