It is a very sad and unfortunate incident for Maharashtra. Nobody would have even dreamt of such thing happening with him. He had the habit of studying every issue before commenting on it. On introduction of ‘Ladki Bahin Scheme’, he made a good financial provision for the State. He was a very outspoken person. We worked as a team. We have lost a leader who knew the importance of time and timeliness. He handled many departments. I feel like I have lost an elder brother. The Government will conduct a thorough investigation into this plane crash to prevent similar incidents in future.

The whole State is mourning the death of Ajit Pawar. It is an irreparable loss for Maharashtra. The vacuum created due to death of people’s leaders is difficult to be filled. Both of us worked together during the days of struggle. He was a large-hearted person. His contribution in Maharashtra’s development has been quite big. He was a very grounded leader, stated State Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis expressing his grief.
Central Home Minister Amit Shah has stated that death of Ajit Pawar is a very sad moment for the National Democratic Front family and for me.
