Indian medicines are more effective compared to Pakistan and Turkey medicines

Afghan citizen’s information

Kabul (Afghanistan) – The strained relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have badly affected trade between the two countries. As a result, Afghanistan was increasing trade with India. Local Afghans said that in Afghanistan, Indian medicines were preferred to those from Pakistan and Turkey. Citizens there were claiming through social media that Indian medicines were not only cheaper, but also more effective in terms of quality.

Fazal Afghan, an Afghan ‘blogger’ (who writes online articles), opined that, in Afghanistan, ‘Perol’ pills made in Pakistan and Turkey were available for headaches. Once, when he went to buy a headache pill at a drugstore, the shopkeeper showed him a ‘Paracetamol’, made in India, for headache. The shopkeeper said that the pill was more effective and much cheaper than ‘Parol’. The blogger also confirmed the statement, saying that his headache was reduced within 10 minutes after taking the ‘Paracetamol’ pill.

Afghanistan and Pakistan share a border; therefore, most of the daily necessities traditionally come from Pakistan, facilitating trade. However, in the last few years, tensions have increased between Pakistan and Afghanistan. In such a situation, India exports goods to Afghanistan via Iran.
