Bangladesh is witnessing a sharp deterioration in law and order amid ongoing political upheaval, creating conditions in which Jihadi and extremist elements are operating with near impunity. This instability has placed the country’s Hindu minority under severe and growing threat, with targeted attacks on lives, homes, and places of worship being reported from multiple regions.
Hindus are facing growing fear for their lives and dignity. The assurances of protection by Bangladeshi authorities have failed to prevent these incidents, underscoring the urgent need for immediate intervention by international powers, specifically India as we are in the immediate vicinity and share strong socio-cultural-political ties with the country.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has written to the Indian Government demanding the following :
1. The Bangladesh High Commissioner be summoned and strict instructions be issued to the Bangladesh army to ensure stoppage of attacks on Hindus, looting of houses, attacks on temples, vandalism of Idols, atrocities on women.
2. Immediate measures be taken to seal India’s border with Bangladesh given the past infiltration of nearly 5 crore Bangladeshis into India and the possibility of infiltration increasing following anarchy.
3. The Government of India raise this issue at the United Nations and demand that a UN delegation visit and present a report on Bangladesh.
4. The Hindus displaced by the violence and seeking asylum in India should be granted asylum under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
