Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Bangladesh’s Maulana Ataur Rahman Bikrampuri had before his arrest posted on Facebook a video that was inciting to violence. In it, he had claimed that leaders of ‘National Citizen Party (NCP) and Jamat-e-Islami are involved in terrorist activities. Both these parties are involved in bringing anarchy in Bangladesh. Rahman alleged that student leaders connected with NCP had conspired the violence that happened recently in Bangladesh.

In 2021 Ataur Rahaman was banned. He was arrested for being a member of a terrorist organisation named ‘Ansarullaha Bangla Team’. He had participated many times in the agitations under the name of ‘Tauhidi Janata’. Ataur Rahaman has a Facebook page called ‘Anti ShatimMovement’.
