Kolkata (Bengal) – As every year, a collective recital of the Bhagwadgeeta was organised here on 7 December. This year, five lakh devotees participated. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bagheswar Dham in Madhya Pradesh, along with many saints, graced the event. “What India needs is not ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, but ‘Bhagwa-e-Hind’ – meaning religious freedom and respect for Hindu Sanatan culture,” Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri declared on this occasion.

According to Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, Sanatan unity is the true source of peace and stability for India and for the world. It is essential to rise above distinctions of caste, sect and denomination, and to safeguard Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma.
