All 10 of the world’s most polluted cities are in India !

New Delhi – Air pollution in Indian cities is becoming increasingly deadly. According to a recent report, all of the world’s ten most polluted cities are located in India. Shri Ganganagar in Rajasthan has topped the list, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 830. Rapidly rising pollution levels are being attributed to stubble burning, dust, and industrial emissions. Many cities in Haryana and Punjab have reached severely hazardous air quality levels, with six cities from Haryana featuring on the list.

Experts have warned that unless strict anti-pollution measures are implemented soon, breathing clean air will become even more difficult for Indians.

The 10 most polluted cities

Shri Ganganagar (Rajasthan), Siwani (Haryana), Abohar (Punjab), Charkhi Dadri (Haryana), Hisar (Haryana), Sasaroli (Haryana), Rohtak (Haryana), Nangli Bahram Pur (Noida), Churu (Rajasthan), and Bhiwani (Haryana).

Editorial Perspective

On one hand, Indian culture kept the Earth pollution-free for thousands of years; on the other, modern science has pushed it into a pit of pollution in barely a century !
