In 2023, jihadi terrorist attacks in the country dropped by as much as 63%

National Crime Records Bureau statistics !

New Delhi – According to the report released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) for the year 2023, incidents of terrorist attacks saw a steep decline compared to 2022. In 2022, 446 such incidents were recorded, whereas in 2023, the number dropped to only 163, marking an overall 63% decline.

Sharpest decline in jihadi terrorism !

The NCRB report highlighted that the maximum decline was seen in jihadi terrorism. In 2022, 126 jihadi terrorist incidents were recorded, but in 2023, the figure fell drastically to just 15, indicating an 87% decline.

Decline in separatist violence in North-East !

Incidents of separatist violence in North-East India also decreased – from 26 incidents in 2022 to 10 incidents in 2023.

Civilian deaths declined !

The report also notes that civilian deaths in such violence decreased; however, the concerning aspect remains that deaths of soldiers and police personnel have shown an increase.
