Devotees furious

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – A decision to increase the rates of main rituals like puja, abhishek etc, has been taken in temples under government control. Devotees are extremely angry with this decision of Congress government. This decision has been taken for the A category temples of the State. The devotees condemned this decision strongly.
Katil Durgaparameshwari, Kukke Subrahmanyam, Male Mahadeshwar are a few famous names where the puja rates have been hiked. Nagprathishtha rate has gone up from Rs 400 to Rs 500. Aashlesh bali puja (a ritual to negate fear from snakes) has been increased. Pushpanjali (offering flowers with mantras) has gone up from Rs 120 to Rs 200. These revised rates will be effective from 1st October, as reported.
