Jaish-e-Mohammed Commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri makes another confession

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri has made a fresh admission, saying that Maulana Masood Azhar, head of Jaish, was behind the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Kashmiri also identified Jaish bases in Balakot and Bahawalpur, alleging that operations directed by Masood Azhar were launched from Balakot’s territory.
Military officials attended militants’ funerals, Kashmiri alleges

Kashmiri further claimed that during “Operation Sindhur” the Pakistani military ordered senior officers to attend the funerals of militants killed in Jaish camps at Bahawalpur. He alleged that the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) sought to suppress the links between Bahawalpur and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Terror groups said to be shaken after Operation Sindhur
Kashmiri said that Operation Sindhur created widespread fear among militant outfits. From the platform he called for unity of various extremist groups under a campaign he termed “Mission-e-Mustafa” (a purportedly religious campaign in the Muhammad Paigambar’s name). He said some had abandoned jihad, but he intended to keep the cause alive with the remaining supporters.
Kashmiri’s claim about global conflicts
Kashmiri went on to assert that Masood Azhar is responsible for wars involving the United States, India, and Israel, and urged that the voice of “al-jihad” be projected as far as international leaders. He reportedly urged supporters to publicly pledge to keep jihad alive.
