Mosques and madarasas built on encroached Govt land in Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh)

Administration issues notice to vacate structures by 20 September or face demolition

Illegal constructions in Sambhal

Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh) – In several villages of Sambhal district, mosques, madarasas, and community halls have been built on government land. Shockingly, even land reserved for a pond has been encroached, where the mutawalli (manager) of a madarasa constructed his personal house. A revenue department team conducted an inspection on 13 September and revealed these encroachments. Following this, the authorities ordered the concerned parties to vacate the land within a week. If the encroachments are not removed by 20 September, the constructions will be demolished.
