Karnataka : Devout Hindu and nationalist Puneeth Kerehalli arrested

Arrested 36 times during Congress rule in Karnataka

Puneet Kerehalli, a fervent Hindutva supporter

Bengaluru (Karnataka) – Bengaluru Police have registered a case and arrested ardent Hindu nationalist and cow vigilante Punit Kerehalli. Kerehalli was on his way to Muddur when the police arrested him. He was presented before the Sessions Court and asked to sign an affidavit saying, ‘ will not take part in any illegal activity, will not cause any hindrance to peace and communal harmony’. He refused to sign it and hence he was sent to judicial custody.

Kerehalli in his post on social media has said, this my 36th arrest since Karnataka has come under Congress rule. Arresting without giving any notice is dangerous for Democracy.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Hindu nationalist arrested in a Hindu majority country; is Karnataka in India or Pakistan ?
  • Would it be wrong if someone thinks that Congress ruled states are like Pakistan for the Hindus !
