Jihadi spits gutkha on Shri Ganesh idol in Maindargi (Solapur)

Maindargi (Dist. Solapur) – An outrageous incident has come to light here where a Jihadi from the Sunni community, Ibrahim Chand Bijapur, consumed gutkha and spat on the idol of Shri Ganesh. This incident was pre-planned, and it has come to light that Jihadis Ashrafi Zainuddin, Feroz Pathan, Arif Rustam and Khajasab Bepari were also involved in it. A post in this regard has been published on the ‘X’ account of Sakal Hindu Samaj. A photograph and video of the incident are also attached to that post. Hindus are enraged after seeing those. It is reported that the Police have taken the concerned Jihadi into custody after the incident. The Hindu community has demanded that strict action be taken against the culprits. This incident has highlighted the repeated insult to Hindu beliefs, and the question remains how long will Hindus tolerate such incidents.

Editorial Perspectives

• As Hindus are tolerant, Hindu Deities are frequently insulted. To prevent this, Hindus must immediately unite and raise their voices against such acts and put pressure on the administration to force strict action against the culprits. Otherwise, the morale of Jihadis will increase and similar attacks on Hindu beliefs would continue.

• If a similar incident had happened in the context of religious fanatics, there would have been a nationwide uproar, and slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ (beheading) would have been raised.
