Salman conceals identity, exploits Hindu girl sexually for 10 years

Lucknow (UP) – A case of Love Jihad has surfaced in Lucknow, UP. The accused, identified as Salman, trapped a Hindu girl in a love relationship for as long as 10 years by concealing his Muslim identity. When the victim discovered his true identity, she filed a complaint with the Police, leading to his arrest. Now, the victim is receiving death threats from his family.

In her complaint, the victim said that Salman owned a mobile phone shop in Sadar Cantonment. She also had a shop in the same marketplace. They became friends, and later he hid his real identity and ensnared her in a love trap. Salman sexually and financially exploited her. When she demanded marriage, Salman asked her first to convert to Islam. When she refused, he assaulted her. Following this, she filed a Police complaint on 13^th August. Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad are providing her with legal assistance in the matter.

Editorial Perspective

Even though there is a law against Love Jihad in the State, Muslims are brazenly flouting it and destroying the lives of Hindu girls. Therefore, to deter such acts, if the victim now demands that the Government ‘bury Salman up to his waist in a deep pit and stone him to death in accordance with Sharia law’, what would be wrong in that ?
