Swaminarayan Temple vandalised in Greenwood, Indiana

  • Suspected act of Khalistani supporters

  • India demands action

Indiana (USA) – The Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha’s (BAPS) Swaminarayan Temple in Greenwood, Indiana, has once again been vandalised. On the night of 10thAugust, miscreants attacked the temple and painted anti-India slogans on its walls. This marks the fourth attack on the temple in the past year. Hindus have expressed outrage over the incident. The Indian Consulate in Chicago strongly condemned the act and demanded urgent, strict action against the perpetrators.

1. The Hindu American Foundation released images of the incident, stating that it appeared to be an act of Khalistani supporters.

2. The Public Affairs division of BAPS stated that this is an act of Hinduphobia and that it is time to unite against it. They noted a rise in attacks on Hindu temples in the US. (This clearly shows that Pakistan-backed Khalistani terrorists are being nurtured in America as well! – Editor)

3. Hindu organisations have urged US authorities to take strict action against the culprits and to enhance temple security. The attack, occurring just before Krishna Janmashtami, has deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindu community.

Editorial Perspectives

  • Hindu temples in America are unsafe !
  • Given the current anti-India stance of the US, it is certain that they will not take serious action against the culprits. Considering US’ affection for Khalistanis, the Government of India must now teach the US a lesson in language it will understand—otherwise, such incidents will continue to occur repeatedly !
