Pro-Hindu organizations demand removal of unauthorized dargah in Mukund Nagar (Pune)

Pune – Pro-Hindu organizations are constantly demanding the removal of encroachment on the footpath by unauthorized ‘Hazrat Dum Dum Shah Ali Baba Dargah’ in Mukund Nagar. A protest was held on behalf of the entire Hindu community on August 2nd for this demand.

BJP MLA Yogesh Tilekar participated in the protest. Initially, he tried to protest at the dargah; but the Police did not allow him to go there. Therefore, he protested at Laxmi Narayan Chowk. MLA Tilekar warned while talking to the media, ‘If the unauthorized dargah is not removed within 15 days, a Hanuman temple will be built there.’ The Police arrested the protesters to control the protest. (The Police who arrest Hindus, bow down to the religious fanatics – Editor). All the roads around the dargah were blocked by barricades. 7 Police vehicles were deployed to prevent any untoward incident. Some Muslim and Dalit organizations also protested in support of the said dargah.
