New Delhi – In recent times, the divorce rate in India increases due to the lack of close relationships, people’s ambitions, expectations from each other, following the Western lifestyle blindly, etc. However, at the global level, this rate is negligible. In India, 1 divorce occurs for every 100 marriages. This means that the divorce rate is 1%. On the other hand, Portugal has the highest divorce rate among the countries with a large number of divorces. This means that for every 100 Portuguese marriages, 94 couples separate over time. 1. The divorce rate in India is 1%. It is followed by Vietnam 7%, Tajikistan 10%, Iran 14%, while Mexico, Egypt and South Africa have divorce rates of 17% each.

2. Considering developed countries, Japan has 35%, Germany 38%, the United Kingdom (UK) 41%, Australia 43%, and in the United States, 45 out of every 100 married couples get divorced.
