Durg (Chhattisgarh) – 2 nuns and a youth have been arrested from Durg railway station for trying to smuggle women and forcefully convert them. The three were taking three tribal girls to Agra, where they were to be converted to Christianity. The railway police took this action due to the alertness of Bajrang Dal workers. The names of those arrested are Sister Preeti Mary, Vandana Francis and Sukhman Mandavi.

1. The tribal girls said that they were lured with the promise of good jobs and higher education in Agra.

2. The accused in the arrest were running a missionary hospital in a remote forest in the Korba District eight years ago. There, they were deceiving Dalits and tribal people and converting them in the guise of treatment. After that, they were sent to Madhya Pradesh (MP).

Editorial Perspective

Due to the lack of a strict anti-conversion law in the country, Christian missionaries are still converting people !
