Bengaluru (Karnataka) – During a routine patrol, police discovered that a Russian woman named Nina Kutina, alias Mohi, had been living in near-complete isolation for eight years inside a cave in dense forests near Gokarna in Karnataka. The 40-year-old woman, who also has two daughters, has been living in India since 2017 on an expired visa. She stayed even though her visa expired as she wanted to worship Hindu Deities and do Dhyan, Dharna and Yoga. The Police said that she was psychologically stable. The police also said that, they had brought her to Bangalore. She would be sent back to her country.
1. The team of Sub Inspector Sridhar S R found Nina in a cave at Kumta Taluka’s Ramthirtha Hill.
2. This woman was living here with her 6 and 4 year daughters; she refused to speak about the girls father.
3. Nina had come to India on a business visa in 2016. She was attracted by tourism in Goa and Gokurna. She liked to meditate and perform puja in the forest. Her visa expired in 2017. She decided to live in the forest as if they stayed in hotel they could be caught.
How did the Police reach the Russian Woman ?
Local police were on a routine patrol in the Ramatirtha forest area following a recent landslide, when they found this Russian woman. There were lot of pictures Hindu Deities at the entrance of the cave.
